Kid Friendly Cream Cheese and Pineapple Sandwiches

Here is a great quick and easy kid friendly recipe that kids like me will just love.  Cream cheese and pineapple on toast sounds a little odd, but when my dad made it for me and my sister, we just ate it all up.

Making cream cheese and pineapple sandwiches is so easy to do, that me and my sister make this healthy kid friendly recipe all by ourselves.  Dad just had to open a can of crushed pineapples and away we went.

It was funny when my dad first mentioned we were going to have this for lunch.  My sister made a face and said she didn't want any of it.  But dad convinced her to at least help in preparing this quick and healthy recipe.

Anyway, by the time we were finished my sister came around and tried it, even though it sounded like a bad combination.  She loved it so much she told all the kids in her class how good it is.  In fact, she helped me write the recipe so I could share it with her classmates.

Cream cheese and pineapple sandwiches are an easy kid friendly recipe that even the most picky youngsters will love.  Trust me, if my sister will eat it, so will you!

Here's the recipe:

Cream Cheese and Pineapple Sandwiches

INGREDIENTS
8 ounces of cream cheese (softened)
1 8 ounce can crushed pineapples (drained)
Bread (toasted)

DIRECTIONS
Combine softened cream cheese and DRAINED crushed pineapples
Mix thoroughly

Kids' Strawberry Whipped Yogurt Pie

Here is an easy kid friendly recipe that tastes sweet, is good for you and doesn't need to be cooked.  When my mom first told me about this pie it sounded horrible to me( maybe because I really never tried yogurt and it looked gross)  But my mom asked me to help me make it, so I did.  You know what?  I 'm glad I helped because it tastes good.  Mom said not only does it taste good but it's a healthy kid friendly recipe that I can do all by myself.

I think I know why my mom likes this recipe so much.  There are only 3 ingredients, she doesn't have to bake and she doesn't have too many dishes to wash afterwards.  And better yet, it only takes 10 minutes to make.  Can there be any easier kid friendly recipe?

Well, we start with the ingredients:

1 -  8 ounce container of Cool Whip
18 ounces of strawberry yogurt (you can use any flavor you want. You could even mix them if you dare!)
1 ready made pie crust (graham cracker tastes the best)

Next, it's time to "whip it good".

Add the Cool Whip and yogurt together until it's smooth and thoroughly combined
Pour the Cool Whip/Yogurt into the pie crust
Make the top smooth
Put into the freezer
Wait 20 -30 minutes

Enjoy!

You know what makes this pie even better? Serving it with sliced bananas, peaches or any other fruit.

Oh, by the way, mom loves to eat this pie, too!  So enjoy this kid friendly recipe that adults like too!

Bobby's Meatloaf

Here is a kid friendly recipe that I love to make with mom and dad. I love it so much that my parents named this quick kid friendly recipe after me. Although I do all the preparation, measuring and mixing, I need my parents help to cook it.

Sometimes I invite my friends over to eat this healthy kid friendly recipe with my family. Meatloaf is great with mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli and corn. It's best if the broccoli and corn are fresh but frozen or canned vegetables are ok too!

There are a few things you need to be aware of, and there are some things you need to do before you get started.
  1. The most important thing to remember is that only your mom and dad handle the oven and all the cooking - this is very, very important!  The oven is dangerous and for adults only!!!!
  2. Remember to wash your hand thoroughly with hot water and anti-bacterial soap after you put the meatloaf mixture in the loaf pan.
  3. Never put your fingers in your mouth while making this great kid friendly recipe.
  4. Never use kitchen utensils for both raw and uncooked meat.  It can make you sick!
  5. Make certain you have all the kitchen utensils and ingredients BEFORE you start!
